In the grip of Winter
Deep in the heart of White Deer Park it is now winter and the animals face the challenge of the bitter cold. For those who have not gone into hibanation Fox must once again rise to protect. Badger has disappeared, the kindly Warden has taken ill and Poachers have arrived hoping to shoot their friends: among them The Great White Stag. Now the main group has somewhat broken it looks like only a miracle will bring them back, but with the oath still strong in all their minds our friends will prevail in The Grip of Winter.

Conterary to the tv series there is no mention of Scarface or the rivial band of foxes until the following book. Although these were chosen to be joined together when the series was made.
